We’re looking for an analytical expert for a graduate Data Scientist job with a leading fintech business. This company brings content creators and investment together, but they need YOU to use both your analytical and programming experience to deliver maximised returns for content creators and shareholders.

Data Scientist role overview:

You’ll use your analytical techniques and strong programming skills to join a growing business. You'll be developing our internal model suite and valuing digital media assets. You'll be part of a team of sales, data and finance experts to work as an all-in-one solution, acquiring the best social media talent, categorising the lifecycle of content and monetising the output to deliver the best outcome for our clients.

This is a hybrid role (1-2 days in the Pulborough office and the rest from home) with the chance to join an expanding business. Sound good?

Data Scientist responsibilities:  

💻 Help to deliver complex projects using advanced modelling and programming skills

🛠️ Build modelling infrastructure to assist with the valuation of digital media assets

🧠 Carry out research and development on non-standard data items, open source data and automated valuation models.

📈 Create data visualisations and provide commentary to effectively communicate your analytical findings

Data Scientist must-haves:

  • Bachelors degree, or relevant qualification, in a STEM subject. Economics degree would be preferred

  • Hands-on analytical experience with R/Python or equivalent

  • Hands-on programming experience with SQL or equivalent

  • Understanding of advanced analytics techniques and experience building deterministic and stochastic models

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with forecasting/econometric modelling techniques

  • Awareness of Agile/Scrum methodologies

  • Experience of data visualisation tools/techniques and cloud computing

  • Previous interactions with Google APIs
