Wanted! Programming and people skills for this combined software development and support role.

  • Starting salary of £23,000 - £25,000, hybrid role with an impressive 34 days annual leave and annual personal training budget

  • Work on all aspects of the software development life cycle to produce high quality, testable and maintainable code

  • Use your strong interpersonal skills to build strong professional relationships with clients

Do you have a Computer Science or related degree with knowledge of Object Oriented Programming (OOP) principles? Do you have excellent communication skills?

If so, this could be the perfect role for you!

You will be working for an expanding software company with a global client base. They are looking for graduates with the ability to get stuck in and be willing to learn and work with the whole range of technologies within their stack such as C#, MVC, Kendo, and SQL Server. But don't be alarmed if you are not familiar with all (or any) of these, as you will be mentored by their senior engineers. Day to day, you will support the Technical Help Desk and liaise with clients on the progress and solutions of their queries. You’ll also be responsible for UI (user interface) bugs and fixes. You will be a fully integrated member of the Scrum team and your continued professional development will be encouraged and supported.

Speaking of the team, you will be joining 15 others at the company. For 3 days of the week, you will be based in the grand Capital Business Centre building in the heart of Edinburgh, just a short walk from Haymarket train station and only a moment away from a tram stop. Or better yet, take advantage of the Cycle to Work scheme and ride to the office instead. Nearby there are several restaurants and bars and also a cinema, great for unwinding and socialising after work. For the remainder of the week you can join the team remotely using your company provided laptop, giving you the best of both worlds. This is a company that champions a good work/life balance, offering 34 days annual leave, an annual training budget (paid upfront) and they are able to offer fantastic career progression as they expand.

Our easy to use platform is set up so that every candidate will get a response and we never ask for a CV. So what are you waiting for? Apply today!
