We’re looking for a communication expert for a new Reporting job with a growing publishing business. This company operates across the logistics, supply chain, transport and robotics industries producing a host of sector-leading magazines, websites, exhibitions, conferences and awards both in the UK and overseas but they need YOU to produce excellent content for their growing business.

Reporter role overview:

You'll use your excellent writing skills to write features for magazines, websites, webinars and newsletters for each of the company's main titles. You'll use editing skills to assist the editor with sub-editing, proofreading and signing-off pages for print. You'll use social media to communicate and deliver content to customers. You’ll help to grow the content side of the business through your editorial skills. This job involves some travel, in the UK and internationally.

This role is based full-time in Borough, London with excellent and rapid progression opportunities. Sound good?

Reporter responsibilities:  

✍️ Feature writing - including researching and writing features, interviewing industry leaders and business professionals, identifying trends, researching and supplying accompanying images etc.

📚 Magazine production - responsibilities include sub-editing, cutting-to-fit, proofreading and assisting the editor in signing-off pages for print.

📑 Newsletters - creating and populating newsletters of varying frequencies.

🌐 Webinars - researching and identifying new and interesting topics, finding and recommending participants, and hosting and moderating sessions.

💻 Social media - maintaining a social media presence via standard channels (e.g. Twitter, LinkedIn etc.), monitoring success, researching new channels etc.

Reporter must-haves:

  • Preferred degree: English, Journalism, Communication (ideally 2:1 or above)

  • Basic understanding of the fundamentals of news writing and what makes a story newsworthy

  • Experience of feature writing

  • Familiarity with social media

Reporter nice-to-haves:

  • Knowledge of transport and robotics sectors would be helpful
