Digital and Content Marketing Executive

About the Role

Bombora is looking for a junior digital marketer to support the CEO in running existing marketing activities as well as devising new ways to win more business. You will be a great communicator, tenacious and diligent in your work, and have demonstrable experience of copywriting, and a real interest in all aspects of digital marketing including SEO and PPC.

Initially this role will be a 12-month contract at 30-hours per week (over 4 or 5 days) with the possibility of a permanent contract and a full-time week at a later stage.

Reports to:

There are 4 people on the Bombora team headed up by David, the founder and CEO. The Digital and Content Marketing Executive will work alongside the whole team and will report into and work closely with David.

Candidate requirements:


  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in a professional environment and ideally in a marketing role.
  • Strong spoken and written communication skills
  • Excellent copywriting, examples of which can be provided during the hiring process.
  • An understanding of SEO and PPC, we’re not expecting an expert but a keen interest and some experience is required.
  • A self starter - the ability to use your initiative and be proactive about managing your own work, and pushing projects through to fruition. You will not wait to be told what to do.
  • A creative thinker - the ability to come up with ideas for new ways to promote Bombora


  • Some experience using Hubspot, Google Ads and Ahrefs

Responsibilities and tasks

On day one you will be required to:

  • Provide day to day support of the CEO with marketing activities
  • Improve SEO using a content driven approach for Bombora and its sister agency Hub
  • Research strategic content and develop SEO / Keyword strategy with senior team
  • Develop an SEO content strategy in conjunction with senior team
  • Write copy and optimise articles for SEO (minimum of 500 words) for both Bombora and Hub each week
  • Monthly reporting of Bombora’s digital performance, in conjunction with the Head of Insight
  • Build link building strategy across relevant sites

In around 6 months and beyond your responsibilities will grow to include:

  • Using Ahrefs tool to analyse search/ content/ keywords of Bombora's competitors and identify strategic content to create
  • Utilise search tools to identify Bombora competitor content strategies
  • Develop content for Bombora (and occasionally Hub) using information gained from competitor analysis
  • Develop PPC campaign for Bombora, measuring results to analyse how these can be adjusted for maximum impact

Hiring info

This role will be recruited remotely, using Zoom video conferencing to host a 2-stage interview process. You will then be required to start the role in a remote capacity until we are all back at work more normally, at which point you would be required to work from the Bombora London office in Clerkenwell.

Job Details

Salary: £23,000 to £27,000 per year

Location: Remote (today) Clerkenwell, London (later)

Working hours: 30 hours per week over Mon-Fri

Contract: Fixed term
