We’re looking for a keen entrepreneur for a new Promotions Assistant job with a digital crafting start-up business. This company builds online communities for craft lovers to find inspiration for their latest projects, learn new techniques, easily source all their supplies and share their creations with like-minded makers around the world, but they need YOU to manage, maintain and execute the company's promotions and drive more revenue per promotion.

Promotions Assistant role overview:

You’ll be responsible for managing, maintaining and executing the company's promotions. You’ll use your organisation skills to manage the company's promotional calendar and set monthly promo plans. You'll work with multiple teams across the business including Marketing, Pricing Analysts, Retail and Category Management to drive more revenue per promo and ensure consistent messaging across all channels.

You’ll support the Head of Category Management with the execution of promo projects, including competitor promo analysis and tests, margin and profitability analyses.

This is a hybrid role (mix of London-office and home working) with excellent and rapid progression opportunities. Sound good?

Promotions Assistant responsibilities:  

📆 Project manage our Promotional Calendar; work with Category Managers & Buyers to set the monthly promo plans for all crafts and geos

✍️ Manage the communication of our promos; coordinate with Marketing teams to ensure clear and consistent messaging across all channels

💷 Work with our Pricing Analyst to review and refine discounts; the promo discounts which should be set and the optimum discount messaging

📈 Deliver actionable promo insights to the Retail teams to drive more revenue per promo

Promotions Assistant must-haves:

  • Google Suite experience

  • A strong communicator - with experience working cross-functionally and the ability to communicate across levels

  • Analytical - solid Excel skills with the ability to move from data through insight to action

  • Entrepreneurial - happy to roll-up-your-sleeves, test new ideas and see what works; problem-solving, learning and taking actions as you go

  • Good at prioritising - the company runs a large number of promotions but the key to success will be focusing your time on those that deliver the most value or highest conversion

Promotions Assistant nice-to-haves:

  • Degree-level education

  • Previous E-Commerce experience
