Data Scientist

A recent Master’s graduate with a 1:1 in Mechanical Engineering and an eagerness to transition into data science. Despite an engineering background, I have 3+ years of experience in both data and programming through various projects undertaken. Key projects include a metaheuristic optimisation algorithm for my dissertation (achieved a mark of 83%), a dating app for iOS and Android for my past startup and a set of analytics tools to help analyse a large corpus of medical reports for AIPal. I am self-motivated and disciplined taking a self-taught approach in learning data science theory and technologies using online courses and long-form, theory-oriented textbooks. Long term goals are to become a leading data scientist that does exceptional work and to found a tech startup that can improve the industry and/or people’s lives.
